New York Fashion Week started on February 9th, and while looking through pictures from the runway shows I couldn’t help but fall in love with the lace and incredible details in Jason Wu’s Fall 2011 collection. The designer,who is most well known for designing Michelle Obama's inauguration ball gown in 2008, took inspiration from the 25 year renovation of the French palace Versailles as depicted in “Parcours Museologique Revister” by Robert Polidori. In the spirit of Versailles, touches of gold were added to everything from stilettos to the hair of models. You can see from the pictures that Wu paid very close attention to the details of his entire show, and it gave off a very feminine but edgy vibe.
