Lady Gaga was present on the stage of Mugler’s fashion show in Paris last month. In order to support her best friend Nicola Formichetti, who was just appointed to be the creative director of the brand, Gaga wore his first collection and walked into the show with other models. American famous designer Jeremy Scott had described that Gaga was the “perfect match” for the fashion show in an interview with "The Wall Street Journal". “Great style, modern, and forward thinker” are all the terms that Scott applied on Gaga. It is no doubt that she is the right person who would enchant Formichetti’s show.
On the other hand, Gaga also remixed her new released song “Born This Way” to help the promotion of Formichetti’s first menswear collection. The song has been used in a video that was directed by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco. Besides the shot of Formichetti’s menswear collection show, Rick Genest, the Canadian model, should be the focus of the video as well. Eerie tattoos that spread over Genest’s face and body turn him to be skeleton-like. Thus, he has given a label of “Zombie Boy”. However, a gruesome look is captured and generated by Vivanco’s camera and with Gaga’s groovy remix. The video does not only stimulate our eyes, but it also emphatically demonstrates Mugler’s consistent design style - avant-garde and contemporary.
