2012 BMW 6 Series Spotted Prior to Shanghai
BMW has been kind to the customers by giving the early preview of their 2012 6 Series Coupe in Munich. This vehicle was actually scheduled to be announced at Shanghai Motor Show. The head designer, Karim Habib, said that he was drew his inspiration from the iconic BMW 3.0 CS which was produced in late 60s and early 70s, especially for the long wheelbase, endless hood and upright, and the sharknose grille.
In the front side, you can see the full LED headlamps, while under its hood, you will found the twin turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 engine from BMW which is able to produce 400 horsepower and 450 pound feet torque. Mercedes-Benz Recalling 136,000 units of M-Class
Mercedes-Benz is recently issuing a recall for their product. This time, the recall is affected the 200-2002 M-Class and 2000-2004 M-Class AMG Models. This is happen after they are receiving some reports about when hitting the brakes, it may not automatically turn off the vehicle’s cruise control. This recall will affects 136,751 vehicles which were built between August 1999 to June 2004.
Prior to this recall, there is an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which was started on late last year. The problem is said to be originated from the reportedly failed brake lamp switch. This failure might not only cause the cruise control problem, but also can prevent the vehicle of being shifted out of the park and another failure on the brake lights.
Although the investigation from NHTSA is started only some months ago, Daimler AG has issued a technical service bulletin since May, 2005. At that time, they are aiming to replace the failed brake lamp switch. Daimler said that they can solved the problem by pumping the brakes to disengage the cruise mode. However, the automaker said that it may require an awkward amount of pressure to the pedal.

2012 BMW M5 Concept Leaked Prior to Shanghai
Want to see the 2012 BMW M5? The picture above is the concept car’s form which will make its debut later this month from Shanghai Motor Show. Some leaked photos were taken from an embargoed preview event which was held in Germany last weekend. With the previous experience, when BMW is talking about concept, it means that it is what the production car will looks like and they will reveal more details in the future. The production model’s wheels also won’t be black.
Surely, some of the details related to this F10 M5 car is already available today. The first driver from Evo magazine, Chris Harris, note some things. The twin turbo V8 engine will bring a better power compared to the X6M which produce 546 horsepower. The car is available with seven speed DCT. It has some driving programs including Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, and the M Driving Mode.
From the photo, I think that this is the best looking BMW M model since the E39 M5 model. Whatever BMW is preparing under the hood, it won’t be a problem as its looks will back it up. Let’s wait for another details from BMW in the future.

1965 Ford GT40 Roadster at Villa d’Este
There are only five units of Ford GT40 in the world today. One of the Roadster will be auctioned off on May 21 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy. This car was built way back in 1965 as the prototype version by Ford’s Advanced Vehicle Operations center in England. This is one of the four examples which were able to survive.
That Linden Green example that you see in the picture above and is crossing the block was driven by John Whitmore and Bob Bondurant to race in the 1965 Targa Florio. At that race, this car was able to reach the third position, before finally being forced to quit after being damaged. The car with chassis GT/111 was loft aafter that Targa Florio and waiting to comeback at 2006.
At 2007, the car was finally authenticated and restored. It also made a vintage race appearance in around the world that is started at the Goodwood Revival 2008. As we are considering that the car is rare, the Ford name, and the prestige of Whitmore and Bondurant, I think this GT Roadster will be pretty expensive when it being sold across the block.

Edo Competition Upgrading Koenigsegg CCR
Koenigsegg CCR is already considered as the fastest unit in the road. However, the tuning engineer is often put this car into their mind as an option for tweaking. It already has 816 horsepower with a top speed of 245 miles per hour. So what would you expect by tuning it?
Actually, that was only before Koenigsegg releasing their new Agera R at Geneva last month which caused the old models to be some way outdated. That is why UK’s Evo Magazine, a publication with a lot of supercars, brought their CCR to Edo Competition to have some enhancement. Edo Competition was already known with their custom Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche. So, it won’t be a problem for them to remap the ECU and tweak the superchargers pair.
Moreover, they also massaged the transmission, reworked the gearing, improve the brakes, and upgrade the out and inside of the car. Those things are resulting in a 891 horsepower which kick in at a the lower revs in order to bring a faster acceleration, but lowered the top speed. Well, as I think that these upgrades won’t be cheap, I think it is unnecessary as when a new model come, the old model must be outdated.
