After many months of hard work and planning, we are so pleased to announce the Grand Opening of our second location, Lille Trousseau. We hope you will stop by to celebrate with us on Friday, May 13, at the lovely new store that formerly housed the best bridal shop in town, The English Department, (now located right next door.) We cannot wait to bring our vision to the West End, and in particular, to the bridal market. Like our East Side outpost, Lille Trousseau will focus on high-end lingerie with an emphasis on vintage-inspired, independent design and natural fibers. However, the new location will have a distinct Bridal focus, hence the name "trousseau," which refers to the custom of bundling honeymoon garments, linens, and lingerie, often in a hope chest, for a bride to bring into her marriage. Expect lots of gorgeous slips and chemises made of luxurious silk and lace, plus strapless options for bridal gowns by new designers, and even more accessories: stockings, shoes, jewelry and garters, of course. We'll be unveiling a few new collections on Friday, and loyal readers of the LIL blog should mention this post for 10% off anything in the store that day. Hope to see you then!
